In the food industry, strict compliance with hygiene and safety standards is absolutely essential.
PSAplast food-contact plastic crates are manufactured from virgin polypropylene that fully complies with European Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 and the principles of the HACCP system.

These crates ensure:

  • Full compliance with the migration limits established for food-contact materials, guaranteeing safe use in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011;
  • Resistance to industrial cleaning and certain disinfection processes;
  • Traceability throughout the entire manufacturing process;
  • Easy cleaning, helping to minimize the risk of contamination.

Meeting these requirements demonstrates the company’s commitment to quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance — reinforcing customer and partner trust.

Key technical features of PSAplast food-grade crates

Crates designed for this sector offer several technical and functional advantages:

  • Safe materials for food applications – free from Bisphenol A (BPA), Allergens, or other undesirable substances;
  • Hygienic design – smooth surfaces and rounded corners simplify cleaning and prevent dirt accumulation;
  • High mechanical strength – suitable for handling and stacking in standard logistics operations;
  • Suitable for food contact under validated conditions, including refrigeration, freezing, and hot filling (up to 70–100 °C for a maximum of 15 minutes to 2 hours). They are also suitable for storage for up to 30 days at temperatures up to 40 °C;

Note: Thermal resistance may vary due to the natural softening of plastics at higher temperatures. Customers should validate performance under their specific operating conditions.

  • Versatility and adaptability – available in solid or perforated versions, with or without attached lids, suitable for both storage and transport of sensitive goods;
  • Durability – long service life, even under intensive-use conditions.

PSAplast crates meet the needs of demanding sectors such as agri-food, pharmaceutical logistics, cosmetics, and hospital supply chains.
