PSAplast has successfully delivered a large-scale logistics project for one of Eastern Europe’s leading convenience retail chains—an organization with thousands of stores and a highly structured distribution network.

A large-scale international rollout
The client needed to upgrade and expand its pool of reusable packaging to support a demanding distribution system characterized by high volumes and multiple daily delivery points.
After assessing various options on the market, the choice fell on PSAplast’s attached-lid boxes in the 600×400 mm format—a solution combining durability, security, and traceability.
The initial supply included 65.000 boxes with a height of 400 mm, reflecting strong confidence in PSAplast’s product quality and manufacturing capacity.
Security and tamper evidence as a key requirement
A defining feature of this project was the ability to apply tamper-evident seals. This ensures that any unauthorized access to the contents can be detected between sealing and final delivery—an essential safeguard in logistics operations involving sensitive goods.

Label holders: secure identification throughout the journey
The boxes were equipped with label windows, addressing a common challenge in picking and distribution operations: the loss or accidental removal of identification labels.
The smart design of our boxes prevents label removal while the lid is closed. As a result, key information—such as origin, destination, product reference, or other operational data—remains intact throughout the entire logistics chain, eliminating the risk of loss or tampering.
This feature also helps maintain a clean, professional appearance over time by avoiding adhesive residue and marks caused by repeated use of stick-on labels.
Traceability: Barcodes, serial numbering, and RFID
To meet the traceability requirements of this large-scale operation, the boxes were supplied with barcode labels and sequential numbering. This allows each box to be individually identified, simplifying inventory control, return management, and the detection of losses or discrepancies.
For projects of this nature, PSAplast also offers RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) solutions, enabling multiple containers to be scanned simultaneously without direct line of sight. This significantly speeds up warehouse receiving and dispatch processes, reduces operational errors, and improves overall supply chain efficiency.

Expanding the logistics pool: An additional 16.000 units
Following the proven performance of the solution, the client expanded its logistics pool in a second phase. An additional 16.000 boxes were supplied in the same 600×400 mm footprint, this time with a height of 265 mm—a more compact option suited to specific product categories or space-constrained distribution routes.
In total, more than 81.000 boxes were delivered for this project, underscoring both the robustness of the solution and the strength of the partnership.
